E-mail sent with detail on joining OWPRA
I sent out an email to all referees who joined OWPRA in 2019. Below are the contents of that e-mail with a slight alteration. I sent the test link in a different email, but I have that updated below.
Good Morning Everyone,
You are receiving this email because you refereed in Ohio during the 2019 season.
As we noted in the Fall, the 2020 HS season has moved to Spring 2021. I am not yet sure if this is a permanent move as the coaches agreed to wait until later in the season to vote on the upcoming 2021-22 season.
The opening weekend will be March 5-7 in Cincinnati. Given the present CoVID situation, we will try our best to minimize travel and overnights for referees this season. There is a fairly equal spread of events between Central and South with the Courtney Fisher event in the North over two weekends.
We have a few management items to tackle:
1. Referee Training on the new rules - Time and Date TBD
2. OWPRA membership form completion
3. OWPRA dues
4. Availability
5. Rules Test
Items 2, 3, 4 & 5 are live links if you have not yet completed those. Upon payment of dues, I will ship you a 2020-22 NFHS Rules Book for the test. You may be assigned an event prior to test completion, but you will not be permitted to whistle games until you have successfully passed the test.
I should have the test available shortly.
